Valorev Ledger — operated by Valorev Capital LLC
Last updated: [DATE]
Draft for review. This is a strong starting version built on the platform as described. It has placeholders in [brackets] and must be reviewed by legal counsel before publishing, especially because the platform is resold by third-party partners and handles donor payment and bank data.
1. Who we are
Valorev Ledger is a giving and donation-management platform operated by Valorev Capital LLC ("Valorev," "we," "us"). The platform is provided to churches, synagogues, nonprofits, and similar institutions ("Tenants") who use it to accept donations from their donors and supporters ("Donors," "you").
Valorev Ledger may be offered to a Tenant through a reseller or payment partner under that partner's own brand. Regardless of branding, this policy describes how the underlying platform handles information.
Roles. For donor and donation data, the Tenant that collects the donation is the party that decides how that data is used (the data controller), and Valorev acts as the service provider (processor) operating the platform on the Tenant's behalf. Each Tenant may also maintain its own privacy practices, which govern its relationship with its Donors.

2. Information we collect
From Donors (giving pages):
- Name, email address, and billing contact details you provide when donating.
- Donation details: amount, designation/fund, frequency (one-time or recurring), and date.
- Payment information you enter to complete a donation. Card and bank-account details are collected and processed by our payment providers (see Section 4); Valorev does not store full card numbers or full bank-account numbers.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and basic usage information needed to operate and secure the giving page.
From Tenants (institution accounts):
- Organization name and legal entity details, primary contact name and email, and account login credentials.
- Banking and billing information used to bill the Tenant for platform use.
- Merchant identifiers and related processing configuration.
From platform partners / resellers:
- Information provided when a partner requests that a Tenant account be created (e.g., organization and contact details).
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Process donations and deliver receipts on behalf of Tenants.
- Create, operate, and secure Tenant accounts and their giving pages.
- Bill Tenants for use of the platform.
- Communicate about accounts, transactions, service updates, and support.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell Donor or Tenant personal information.
4. Payment processing
Donations and payment transactions are handled through third-party payment processors, including Datacap Systems (card processing) and iStream (ACH/bank transfers). When you enter payment or bank-account details, that information is transmitted to and handled by these processors under their own security and privacy practices. Valorev receives transaction confirmations and references but does not store complete card or bank-account numbers on its own systems.
Tenant billing is performed by ACH in accordance with the authorization each Tenant provides at account setup.
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the platform:
- With the Tenant whose giving page you donated through — they receive your donation and associated donor details to fulfill and acknowledge it.
- With payment processors (Datacap, iStream) to complete transactions.
- With platform partners/resellers who administer the Tenant relationship, limited to what that role requires.
- With service providers (e.g., hosting, email delivery) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- For legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the platform.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records of donations and billing, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified. Tenants may have their own retention requirements for their donor records.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including hashing of account passwords (we do not store recoverable passwords) and reliance on certified payment processors for card and bank data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Because donations are collected by Tenants, requests about a specific donation may be directed to, or coordinated with, the relevant Tenant. To make a request, contact [privacy contact email]. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
9. Children's privacy
The platform is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
